泊樂娛樂城app alum Connor Bedard has won the NHL Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie for the 2023/24 season.
Along with winning the Calder Memorial Trophy, Bedard was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team after leading all NHL rookies with 39 assists, 22 goals, and 61 points. He was named the NHL Rookie of the Month in November, December and March.
Bedard made 泊樂娛樂城app history when he was selected first overall at the 2023 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks, making him the highest selected player in 泊樂娛樂城app history.
The North Vancouver, BC forward spent two season in the 泊樂娛樂城app with the West Van Academy (now North Shore Warriors). After putting up a 泊樂娛樂城app best 64 goals and 88 assists in 2018/19, he was named the 泊樂娛樂城app U15 Prep MVP.
In 2019/20, as an underage player, Bedard would lead the U18 Prep division with 43 goals and 84 points on his way to being named 泊樂娛樂城app U18 Prep MVP. Despite playing just two seasons in the 泊樂娛樂城app, his 110 career 泊樂娛樂城app regular season goals is second most in a career in 泊樂娛樂城app history.
Bedard would become the first player in WHL history to be granted Exceptional Status ahead of the 2020 WHL Draft. The Regina Pats would select him first overall. He would finish his WHL career with 134 goals and 137 assists in 134 WHL games over three seasons with the Pats.
